Accommodation 2009

 

Accom­mod­a­tion in col­lege rooms is included in the fee for those del­eg­ates attend­ing the full XML Sum­mer School or any two or three-day courses.

Col­lege accom­mod­a­tion con­sists of single study bed­rooms. These may be loc­ated in the tra­di­tional, his­toric build­ings of main quad­rangle; or in more mod­ern accom­mod­a­tion in the col­lege; all rooms are within easy reach of the sem­inar rooms, din­ing hall and bar.

Rooms have wash­ing facil­it­ies and bath­rooms are shared on a ratio of not less than one to every 4 bed­rooms. All rooms also have wire­less Inter­net access and tea/coffee mak­ing facil­it­ies; tow­els and bed linen are provided.

St Edmund Hall is very cent­rally loc­ated ( map ) on Queen’s Lane, just off the High Street. The col­lege is within walk­ing dis­tance of the rail­way sta­tion, cent­ral bus sta­tion and the main shop­ping areas. Buses stop on High St near Queen’s Lane, includ­ing local buses (num­ber 5 from the rail­way sta­tion) and buses to/from Lon­don and Heathrow.

If you do not wish to stay in St Edmund Hall, we can recom­mend a num­ber of local hotels within easy walk­ing dis­tance of the col­lege. Note that we can­not reduce the regis­tra­tion fee if you decide not to stay in col­lege accommodation.
