Accommodation 2009

Accommodation in college rooms is included in the fee for those delegates attending the full XML Summer School or any two or three-day courses.

College accommodation consists of single study bedrooms. These may be located in the traditional, historic buildings of main quadrangle; or in more modern accommodation in the college; all rooms are within easy reach of the seminar rooms, dining hall and bar.

Rooms have washing facilities and bathrooms are shared on a ratio of not less than one to every 4 bedrooms. All rooms also have wireless Internet access and tea/coffee making facilities; towels and bed linen are provided.

St Edmund Hall is very centrally located ( map ) on Queen’s Lane, just off the High Street. The college is within walking distance of the railway station, central bus station and the main shopping areas. Buses stop on High St near Queen’s Lane, including local buses (number 5 from the railway station) and buses to/from London and Heathrow.

If you do not wish to stay in St Edmund Hall, we can recommend a number of local hotels within easy walking distance of the college. Note that we cannot reduce the registration fee if you decide not to stay in college accommodation.
